HOME TRACK RULES WELCOMED IN STOCK CAR DIVISION AT
DIRTCAR NORTHEAST WEEDSPORT, NY_As
Rolling Wheels Raceway and Cayuga County Fair Speedway head into their
busiest and most exciting time of the 2010 season, DIRTcar Northeast
officials have decided to add a little more excitement. The DIRTcar Stock
Car Division will run a "Bring Your Home Track Rules" format as
DIRTcar Northeast officials invite drivers from other tracks to compete in
three DIRTcar Stock Car events, beginning with the Sunday, July 4th event at
Rolling Wheels Raceway. Competitors from other racing facilities will be able
to come into the three race set with their race cars ready as if they were at
their home track. "We have some
big events for full-fender stock cars in the next couple of weeks and the
more participation, the better the events are for both the drivers and the
fans," says Reed. "In most cases, there are just some minor
variations in the rules from track to track," continues Reed.
"However, sometimes it's just enough to make teams from other tracks
feel they can't participate." Home Track Rules
will continue at the Cayuga County Fair Speedway on Thursday, July 8th in the
Thirsty-Thursday 50 event that will pay $400 to win to pre-registered
drivers. If the event can do better than 16 entries, the purse will increase
to $500 to win. The third event will be on Friday, July 16th during the
second annual All-Star Weekend. Both events at CCFS will be Parts Plus
DIRTcar Stock Car Series events. "By allowing
these drivers from other tracks to come the way they run at their home track
makes the most sense in building these events, "adds Reed. For more
information, or to register please call the DIRTcar Northeast offices at
315-834-6606 or go online at rollingwheelsraceway.com or
cayugacountyfairspeedway.com. The Rolling Wheels
Raceway Test and Tune schedule continues on Wednesday, June 30. Any race car
that meets up to its racing specifications will be allowed to test and tune
in order to work out any problems they may have with their respective race
cars. The test and tune is a great opportunity for racers to take advantage
of track time before the big Stars and Stripes 100 on July 4th at Rolling
Wheels Raceway. July 4th will be the ONLY opportunity for race fans to see
the Super DIRTcar Modified Series race of the season during the 100 lapper at
RWR. In addition to the Super DIRTcar Modified Series race fans will enjoy
the action of the DIRTcar Sportsman, DIRTcar Stock Cars, and the Midstate
Vintage Stock Car Club. Don't forget to
join Cayuga County Fair Speedway and Rolling Wheels Raceway on Facebook and
follow DIRTcar Racing on Twitter (@DIRTcarNE). There are only two
weeks left to receive your FREE pit pass for the second annual All-Star
Weekend. Reserved grandstand tickets purchased before July 5 th will receive
a FREE pit pass for Friday night. Drivers will be competing for over $100,000
dollars while fans enjoy Super DIRTcar Series action, driver autographs,
fireworks and non-stop entertainment. All-Star Weekend gets underway July
16-17 at Cayuga County Fair Speedway. For tickets, go to www.DIRTcar.com/tickets
