Garrett Marchant
My name is
Garrett Marchant I am a 14 year old racecar driver from North Carolina, I drive
the #77 racecar for BMR Motorsports, and we are looking to run a full season at
the South Boston Speedway and the Orange County Speedway in 2011. South Boston
Speedway and Orange County Speedway are two of the most popular tracks on the
East coast for local home track racing. I’m currently looking for funding to
run full time in the NASCAR Whelen All American Series at South Boston in 2012
along with the possibility of some other tracks in the form of sponsorship
dollars. Due to the fact I will be running in NASCAR this means a lot more
publicity and the car will be featured on TV as well as at the race track every
week. I raced in the 2010 season, it was my first season racing and I have
included some of my stats. I won the fourth race I started in. I’ve had two
career poles and have never started or finished outside of the top 10 in a
race. I finished 3rd and 5th in the track championship standings in 2010. I
also joined a larger race team this past year called Racing For
A Cause. This team was started by Ricky Springer, 7 years old, in 2009
to spread the awareness for APFED or American Partnership for Eosinophilic
Disorders. This team raises awareness for kids like Ricky who suffer from a Eosinophilic Disorder. Garrett became a member of the team
in 2010 and shortly was joined by Jeremy Clements (NASCAR Nationwide Series
Driver), Grant Enfinger (NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Series
Competitor), Mike Senica (ARCA Series Competitor), Trevor Ahouse (FWD Series
Competitor), and Larry Spencer III (Enduro Series Competitor). The team has
grown very much so and educated over 1.2 million people about APFED and plans
to continue to do the same thing in 2011 and 2012.
Here are my 2010 Stats (2010 was my only season)
May 1, 2010: Started: 2nd Finished: 2nd
May 15, 2010: Started: 8th Finished: 3rd
May 29, 2010 :Started: 8th Finished: 5th
June 12, 2010:Started: 3rd Finished: 1st
June 26, 2010:Started 1st Finished:6th
July 3, 2010:Started 1st Finished: 3rd
Sep.11,2010:Started 3rd Finished 5th
Sep.25,2010:Started: 6th Finished:3rd
Oct. 9,2010:Started 3rd Finished: 3rd
Oct. 23 2010 Started 4th Finished 4th
The team I will be racing for in 2012 is that of FDJ Motorsports the particular
car I will drive is a Gdvoic Racing car. In 2009, the car, headed by Brandon
Gdovic set a new track record at Martinsville Speedway at the most prestigious
of all the late model races in NASCAR. He was also the National Rookie of the
Year. The seat Garrett will be stepping into in 2012 is vacated by Brandon who
is now moving onto the NASCAR K&N Pro Series. The team is a powerful one
and Garrett will be in the best equipment out there, which is why we need your
help. We need sponsorship money in order to get into the best equipment and to
keep performing to the best of our abilities. I would love to have the
opportunity to bring great advertising to your company as well as to help me
reach my dreams in NASCAR one day very soon.
You can check
