MRN Debuts New Website

CONCORD, N.C. – A new era is set to begin as the Motor Racing Network rolls out its brand new website in time for the 2010 racing season.

Beginning February 5th, the new MotorRacingNetwork.com will take the best of MRN Radio and RacingOne.com and merge them together to provide fans with a one-stop destination for up-to-the-minute and comprehensive coverage from the exciting world of racing.

MotorRacingNetwork.com will showcase in-depth racing coverage, including news, features, statistics and information, as well as award-winning audio and video content from the Motor Racing Network.

“We’re extremely excited about taking our web presence to the next level and extending the Motor Racing Network brand across additional platforms,” said MRN president David Hyatt. “Our new website will take the established multi-media expertise of MRN and the comprehensive coverage from RacingOne and combine it to give fans an unprecedented authentic connection to the sport of auto racing.”

While the venture will have an emphasis on NASCAR and its top three national touring divisions, the new MotorRacingNetwork.com will also cover many other forms of motorsports including Grand-Am, IndyCar, Formula One, NHRA, ARCA, World of Outlaws and the AMA.

“MRN will continue to be ‘The Voice of NASCAR’ on the air but will be a more far reaching motorsports authority in the digital arena. We look forward to providing fans with additional coverage throughout motorsports,” Hyatt said.

Managing Editor Jeff Wackerlin, Senior Editor Pete Pistone and Editor Rachael West of RacingOne will transition to the new MotorRacingNetwork.com and provide the core management and coverage of the site. Pistone, who co-hosts “The Morning Drive” on Sirius NASCAR Radio, has more than 20 years experience as a racing reporter in various media.

MRN’s staff of announcers, reporters and producers will provide their unique skills and extensive experience to the website to present fans with exceptional insight around the clock, 365 days a year.

In addition to original content and race reporting emanating directly from each race weekend of the NASCAR season, fans will find similar coverage from other major events on the racing calendar.

Fantasy racing, in-depth statistics, live streaming of Grand-Am races and community fan forums are just a few of the additional elements fans will encounter on the site, which will also include an array of MRN-created multi-media such as classic race broadcasts, podcasts and video productions.

“We will strive to be the definitive voice in motorsports and look forward to establishing MotorRacingNetwork.com as the absolute racing source for all fans,” said Hyatt.
